What's your age and weight?

First things first, how old is the person who will be riding the hoverboard? Hoverboards typically come in different wheel tire sizes- 4.5", 6", 8", and 10". Age and weight largely affects what tire wheel size is most appropriate for the person.

If you're purchasing a hoverboard a child who is less than 10 years old, we suggest a toddler's hoverboard, which is 4.5". Unfortunately, we don't keep these in stock.

For anyone older than 10 years old, the 6" wheel size is a safe bet. Our TSB1000, TSB1500, TSB3100, ES002, and TSB5000 all have 6" wheel sizes.

Our SB7000 is the biggest and mostly suited for adults, who weigh over 150 pounds. This big 10" wheel scooter can handle up to 300 lb on the scooter and can take more of a beating than the other scooters. This doesn't mean that you can totally wreak havoc on it, but it should be fine on urban streets.

What features are you looking in a hoverboard?

The next question you want to think about is what features are you looking for in a feature.

If you want a solid and reliable ride that isn't too flashy, you'd probably be happy with our classic and most popular model, the TSB-1000. If you want to turn heads and like to impress your friends with your style, the shiny chrome metallic TSB-1500 is likely down your aisle.

Hoverboards can also play music too. Some models have bluetooth wireless speakers installed inside them so you can play music wirelessly from your smartphone while you're riding it. This can definitely be a cool experience and is especially fun when you're riding it outside. Our TSB-5000 model and ES0002 models have Bluetooth speakers installed.

Lastly, if you want a hoverboard that is more rugged and can handle more weight than the average hoverboard, the 10" hoverboard is definitely your choice. Unlike the other hoverboards, the 10" wheels are actually filled by air so you need an air pump to fill it. The recommended air capacity is ??. You can think of this hoverboard as the SUV of hoverboards. They definitely pack more punch. But be warned, they weigh more as well.

What's your budget?

Of course, we have to consider what you want to spend for a hoverboard. If you're looking to get the most bang for your buck, the TSB-1000 is a fine choice. If you want to invest in a higher-end hoverboard, we'd give the ES-002 our wholehearted recommendation. It runs on a great aerodynamically optimized body and goes faster while providing a more stable and balanced ride. Plus it also has a Bluetooth speaker if you want to listen to your tunes while riding around.

Where should I buy my hoverboard? Is it safe to buy it online?

There a few places you can buy hoverboards. You can buy them online or offline. It's been increasingly difficult to buy them from a reputable marketplace online as both eBay and Amazon have no longer supported the sale of hoverboards. Offline, hoverboards are sold for quite a large markup and often do not provide the repair or support behind them as they typically purchase them overseas and lack the infrastructure to deal with defectives.
