Something's Wrong with my Hoverboard

Identifying the root issue

Firstly ensure the following conditions are met:

  • Hoverboard has been charged.
  • Hoverboard had not been in contact with any liquids(rain/puddles of water/otherwise).

To perform a reset of the Hoverboard; please follow the following steps:

  1. Switch off the Hoverboard and ensure it is unplugged from charging.
  2. Find a flat surface and align your Hoverboard flat/straight.
  3. Press and hold the power button until a beep(usually around 5-10 seconds) is heard. Then let go.
  4. You will expect Blinking Lights. The Hoverboard is now in calibration mode.
  5. Wait patiently for 1 minute.
  6. Switch off the Hoverboard.
  7. Test unit. If unit is not performing as expected, please repeat reset but wait instead for 5 minutes this round.

Charging Issues

Please do attempt to test at a different plug location or use a different adapter. The Hoverboard unit should remain switched off whilst charging and only the adapter will have a red light(indicating charging) or a green light(fully charged).

Recalibrating my hoverboard

One of the quickest fixes that usually takes care of most hoverboard issues is to troubleshoot your hoverboard. We have a Youtube link below, so please follow the instructions.

The quickest fix is to recalibrate the hoverboard (see video link above)- this saves tons of problems that we see. We also highly recommend to charge the hoverboard for no longer than 1.5 hours. If you've charged it for longer, try riding the hoverboard until the battery runs out and discharges fully. Then try charging it for one hour and test if it works after.
